Q: What is the Sushi by Scratch Restaurants experience?

​

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants offers an intimate, omakase-inspired tasting menu experience from Chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee. Each tasting menu features a progression of meticulously crafted nigiri with unexpected original touches, with optional curated beverage pairings of sake, cocktails, and more. 

With only 10 seats at our sushi counter, every experience is highly personalized and designed to be immersive, interactive, and memorable.

Q: How much does the omakase experience cost?​

​

Pricing varies by location and ranges from $165 - $245 per person for the tasting menu. Beverage pairings, extra bites, supplements to the menu, and a la carte beverages are not included. A 20% service charge is added to all checks in most locations. Please refer to your specific location’s booking page for the most accurate pricing.

Q: What does the experience include?

 

Each per-person menu price includes:

A 17+ course omakase-inspired tasting menu with a complimentary canapé service and welcome cocktail (only available with a 30 minute early arrival time). The tasting menu consists of 16 pieces of nigiri and one dessert bite. â€‹â€‹

Beverages, supplements to the menu, and extra bites (time permitting) are available à la carte during your dining experience and not included in the per person menu price. â€‹

Q: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

 

We strive to accommodate most dietary needs, but due to the nature of our menu, we cannot accommodate:

  • Vegetarian or vegan guests

  • Mushroom allergies 

  • Fish allergies or no-seafood requests

We can accommodate most other restrictions (with advance notice) including, but not limited to:

  • Gluten restrictions

  • Dairy restrictions

  • Shellfish restrictions​

All dietary restrictions must be provided in advance to ensure the best possible dining experience. 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

 

Due to our limited seating capacity, cancellations or changes made less than 48 hours in advance will subject to a  full menu price per person charge (menu price varies by location). No-shows are also subject to the full per person menu fee. If you are unable to keep your reservation, you may transfer it to another guest, or rescheduled to a different date. However, all requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Q: Can I modify my reservation?

 

Yes - reservation changes are welcome up to 48 hours before your booking through the Sevenrooms booking platform. If the reservation is within 48 hours, please contact our team for any changes. The full per person menu fee may apply. 

Q: When should I arrive?

 

We invite guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to their reservation time to enjoy a welcome cocktail and canapé service. This is complimentary and optional.

Please note:

Arriving after your reservation time may result in missing part of the experience. If you are arriving more than 30 minutes late, we recommend rescheduling your reservation. â€‹

Q: Why do you require guest details in advance?

 

We request guest first names and dietary notes ahead of time to personalize your experience and ensure our staff has all information necessary to accommodate your party.

Q: Do all locations offer the same experience?

 

While the core omakase-inspired philosophy remains consistent across all Sushi by Scratch Restaurants locations; pricing and tasting menus may vary slightly. We recommend reviewing your specific location’s booking page for the most up-to-date details.​​

Q: Do you allow children or guests that do not want to partake in the omakase menu?

 

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants locations welcomes guests of all ages; with the exception of Park City, which is strictly 21+ due to local liquor law ordinances.

Due to our limited seating and intimate counter experience, any guest occupying a seat will be charged the full menu price. However, all guests will be serve the omakase menu and these bites can be enjoyed by any member of the party.

We do not have a children's menu or alternative options in addition to the omakase menu. â€‹â€‹

**For infants or young children who will remain in a stroller or car seat and will not be dining, please contact your location directly in advance so we can best accommodate your party within our space constraints.​

Q: Do you have a Dress Code?

​

No, we do not enforce a dress code. Please wear whatever you are comfortable dining in. 

Q: Do you offer gift cards?

 

Yes, we offer digital gift cards, making it easy to share the Sushi by Scratch Restaurants experience. These can be purchased on our website. To purchase a gift card, please visit: https://www.scratchrestaurants.com/gift-cards. Please note, we currently only offer digital gift cards. If you’d like a physical gift certificate, please contact the location directly for a printable copy. 

 

Gift cards are not available at the following locations and cannot accept Sushi by Scratch Restaurants gift cards purchased online:

  • Beverly Hills

  • Dallas

  • Park City

  • New York City

Q: Do you offer Private Events or Off-Site Options?

We offer both on-site and off-site private event options. For all on-site private events and seatings, we have a 10 guest maximum capacity and a 2hr dining experience. Unfortunately, we cannot increase this maximum capacity.

For larger events, we offer off-site capabilities and can go over these options in detail with you!

Q: How many guests can be accommodated?​

 

Each seating is limited to 10 guests, ensuring a personalized and intimate dining experience. This is a maximum capacity and we are unable to accommodate more than 10 guests in our dining room. 

Q: What are your seating times?

 

Seating times vary slightly by location, however each location offers three seatings per evening. Please confirm exact times when booking your preferred location.

Q: How far in advance can a reservation be booked?

 

Reservations are released on the 1st of each month for the following month’s dates. For private seatings, please email us at: Events@scratchrestaurants.com to inquire about extended availability prior to our reservation's release date. 

Q: What is your guest conduct policy?

 

We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for both our guests and our team.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment of any kind

  • Discriminatory language or behavior

  • Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe conduct

  • Any form of violence or threats

  • ​

Guests who engage in inappropriate behavior may be asked to leave immediately, and refunds will not be provided. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and enjoyable dining experience for everyone.
